Haven’t used this much but it’s crashed like 5 times already. Will update later if I get it working.
Needs a lot of work

For $14.99/year this app needs a lot of work. Too many issues to list, but rarely syncs to MFD, buggy, etc. Not worth the money, except it’s the only way I can upload routes (which only works 10% of the time).
AIS and traffic scam

I have been paying for this premium subscription for more than a year and cannot get the AIS to work properly, either it doesn’t show any active boats even in marina or occasionally shows boats way out of date. I have all the settings turned on. I have cellular connectivity with 5G and my wife pays for a separate subscription and has the same issue
Customer (AI) service is not helpful - This is a scam !

Great app with minor room for improvement

The app has come a long way and is now sufficient for my needs. I moved from Navionics. That said, a couple of thoughts: 1. Can you please consider allowing Split screen on the iPad? I would like to combine viewing with windy or predict wind. 2. Please check the setting for changing the anchor alarm. Once in the menu I cannot go back to the menu on both iPhone 15 and iPad 12.9. only restart resolves, but no saving possible. 3. on iPad 12.9 when downloading a defined map area the result differs continuously from the area chosen. The area delivered trends to the south west. One final note: B&g and c-map differ only by hardware add-on opt in for B&G. I would consolidate the apps and offer all features of hardware add on holistically. Apart from that great work. Thank you.
Buggy

Update gives “SD Card Error” on both iPhone and iPad. Rebooting doesn’t fix it but reinstalling it does but then I lost all area downloads. On iPhone 11 and iPad mini 6 running 18.4.1, the area download controls are off the screen to the left at the bottom. Had to rotate sideways to find them but even then, they are off the edge. On the iPad mini, it downloads the wrong area despite showing the correct area originally. Also the auto routing seems to be hit or miss. It’s OK for short routes. Note - the Garmin/Navionics app is far better and not buggy though considerably more expensive. I will continue to use it until B&G fixes the bugs even though I have a Zeus 3S chart plotter.

I like being able to compare equipment data.
A bit unstable

This app freezes and is slow. With the last update I am no longer able to create routes at all.
Occasionally works as intended

I’ve been using this app for about four years. When it works, it works OK. Though it’s super clunky and not very intuitive. Anything you know how to do on the chart plotter has no bearing on how this app works. Regular updates regularly break things. I’d say it’s functional about 50% of the time and we are full-time cruising. This makes it nearly useless because you cannot depend on it. Support often seems clueless that there are any issues so I’ve given up contacting them. Too bad, this has the potential to really work well but in practice it doesn’t.
B&G App makes planning really

The ease and availability of the B&G App on my smartphone facilitates comprehensive route planning that can quickly and easily be shared. This makes it much more likely to sail together with friends and family!
