  • Get More Reliable Speakers

It works, then it doesn’t. Which requires a lot of time to troubleshoot. So many issues all around, especially with the app… rebooting speakers… Ethernet connection vs wifi issues… it never ends. When you just want to turn on the music, you don’t want to do any of this. How on earth are these reviews so high?!
  • This app just goes from bad to worse..

Wish they would stop adding new features and focus on getting it to work. Never had any trouble with the old app. The new app is a continuing problem. Sometimes won't start music. Other times won't stop music. Randomly changes volume. Won't group or ungroup rooms. They have destroyed a great product. Firing the CEO a few months ago hasn't helped any. They should have fired everyone who had anything to do with this new app. I now have two homes with Sonos equipment that is practically useless. Buy something else.
  • Improved, still not good

The latest version is now improved and gone from unusable to decidedly mediocre. There are workarounds to avoid using it at all and they continue to be the best option.
  • The form over function has finally hit

Used to be able to open the app and change volume in under a second, now it takes at least 5 for images and garbage interface to load before I can turn my speaker down…stupid. Fix it please!
  • Worst app ever

What happened to the great system that we were once proud of saying we had? Now it’s constantly cutting off and glitches constantly
  • Lousy

Sonos new app’s gets a thumbs down! Compared to the prior version this is glitchy, confusing to navigate and gives random errors on “unable to connect”. Really!!! After spending $1,000 on speakers one expects better than this. Time to go back to the drawing board.

Bring back the previous gen app. This one is horrible and convoluted to navigate.
  • Not good for a traveler

I just came back from a three month trip and once again my sonos system doesn’t work because I have to do an update. This time, fortunately I didn’t have to spend a lengthy amount of time to update. However, when I went to play Apple Music I had to re-authorize my account didn’t have my password, so then I had to reset my password, this kind of stuff happens almost every time I come back from a trip
  • I Almost Dropped $2500 on This Garbage

I bought a new Sonos bookshelf speaker with the hopes of building out a premium, multi-room audio experience. Thankfully, I only wasted a few hundred dollars instead of the full $2500 I originally planned to invest. The app is an absolute disaster—unreliable, unintuitive, and constantly failing to connect. The most basic feature—playing music from my phone through the speaker—rarely works. No matter what I tried, I could never get consistent playback. After wasting hours of my life troubleshooting, I finally ditched the Sonos and bought a HomePod. Immediate improvement. Seamless setup, effortless use, and actual sound when I hit play. While I’m still frustrated about the time and money I lost, I’m genuinely grateful this trainwreck happened early. It saved me from making an even bigger financial mistake. Feels like I dodged a bullet. Avoid Sonos at all costs.
  • Absolute Garbage

Anyone who had anything to do with this abomination of an app should be fired from the company immediately. There is a 90% chance the app won’t do what I’m asking it to do, and even when it does it’s nowhere near as easy to use as the previous app was. This is absolutely embarrassing.
