    I just paid $200 for an app that functions waaay too slowly on my phone to justify the purchase(13 pro I stopped upgrading when I realized how problematic sourcing materials for the phone is, but the ecosystem got me in a chokehold). Once I committed to purchasing the initial application I was put through a sales funnel which uses FOMO to try to pressure the buyer into further purchases. This feels scummy after the energy and time invested in getting us to pitch ourselves the *wonderful new life* jumpspeak will offer us the chance to experience with the survey. The unlimited AI tutoring that I was pitched is not a feature of premium, it’s a feature of AI premium. They were likely hoping that the hundreds of dollars on monthly tutoring, and various upsells would make it feel less like the offer is too good to be true and with all the added support we’d be too satisfied with the progress to be bothered by the tactics. This was incorrect. If the application offered those upsells in app after progress was made, it would be fine. AFTER I see and experience your product. Not before. Now I have a slow, unoptimized disappointment because you over promised and failed the upsell, which is lucky cause this woulda p***ed me off further if I had a subscription to cancel.

    I use the app daily and like it, but find errors every day. I report them of course, but it is getting annoying. You really need to fix the voice recognition. It needs to recognize words I speak that I know are correct. Very frustrating.

    The app is structured well the frustrating part is the AI if you can deal with consistent freeze ups then overall this will be a great app for you as a person who is attempting learning a language coming from Duolingo. This concept is definitely better. But not at the cost of quality regardless of how many more languages it may offer then other apps.

    I’ve really tried to learn from this app but it’s hard. The lessons go from 0-100; first you are learning about 5 new words, and then all of a sudden they want you to put a lengthy sentence together with words and conjugations you’ve never heard of. This is literally in the first couple of lessons. I noticed the “words” lessons area and thought that might be what I’m supposed to do prior to the other lessons, but the words don’t align with the other lessons. Additionally, the UI is really confusing and hard to navigate. I’ve decided to stop trying this app because it just left me extremely frustrated every time. Maybe it’s better for a more intermediate student. I am just a beginner.

    This app does not provide foundational language learning. It prematurely pushes users into conversation with native speakers without teaching basic vocabulary, grammar, or sentence construction. I was disappointed with this purchase, especially since there are better, more comprehensive apps available. Be aware that it requires an immediate annual commitment with no trial period.
  • Getting stuck during registration

    Can't do anything. During registration, it gets stuck and I can't do anything else. I've tried deleting and reinstalling, and nothing. I've written to email support and still no response.
  • Difficult to cancel

    There is no customer service. The main issue I have is cancellation is difficult. there is no one to contact for a refund. I have tried to cancel it 2x over the past 2 years. This last attempt seemed successful. I clicked through the cancellation process and completed all prompts for cancellation well before the renewal date. I was charged AGAIN. I was locked out of the app and prompted to sign up again AFTER I had just been charged. Cancellation of access to the app worked, but they did not cancel the reoccurring payment. I contacted PayPal they said that perhaps the app forgot to turn off automatic billing as it was still on. I had to select in the PayPal app to discontinue allowing them to bill me. Here’s to hoping it works this time.

    This app is AI garbage with a horrible UX and some of the prompts aren’t even in the right language. If you pay Apple won’t refund you even if you explain how bad it is, so don’t fall for the ads and waste your money like I did.
