    I just stared reading and I’m already hooked. The characters are vivid, the story line is spicy, and I’m pretty sure I have a crush on Rhin! Give this app a try. You won’t regret it.

    Can’t believe it’s been over a year after buying out nix hydra and they STILL haven’t updated any of the things they would. They’re absolutely drying out the arcana while every fictif story goes to rot in the dust. I knew I was right to be skeptical about this “company”

  • Issue with inviting a friend for a heart

    This game is really good, very interesting and fun to play. However, I’ve encountered a small issue with the inviting a friend system. Supposedly, I would get a free heart for every friend I invite, but that is not the case unfortunately. I have tried sending my friends the link to the app multiple times, I even got them to uninstall the app and redownload it, but still got no free hearts. I’m not sure if this is an issue with the game itself, or if it’s just me being a bit dumb 😅

  • Great stories! Too reliant on hearts

    Hearts are Dorian’s form of in-game currency. And they are not easy to get. Sure, it might look easy at first as there are ways to win hearts through trivia and giveaways, but the rewards in trivia are usually very small, for example “80 hearts split between the winners”, and what’s required of a giveaway often means playing through several chapters of a story you may or may not be interested in. Many stories aren’t exactly easy on the hearts either, some are much better than others but I’m currently playing through a story that is great but it seems like 1 in every 3 options is pay-walled and the amount required is regularly 40 hearts each. It’s always the fun option too or the one that actually advances the plot in an interesting way. Seemingly the only way to gain a large amount of hearts fast is streaming and maybe making games (although I don’t know about that last one). Things not everyone is comfortable doing especially because after looking at the terms of service for game making, especially since after reading the terms of service it says that although it remains your intellectual property Dorian can take anything you make on the app and do whatever they want with it without paying you or telling you first. Which is better than a lot of companies but still isn’t great.

    I like it, I can stream stories and read them to people. But I am not receiving the hearts when my patrons give in streams and the age rating should be changed, because the content is far from child appropriate.

    Tbh, the stories and art are all lovely but, this is very glitchy and theres no music. What makes The Arcana game exciting is not just the story but the music that accompanies it. When there was a spooky part in the original arcana app there was always this creeping music to go along with it. Thats what made the arcana fame so successful. Also this is just completely disorganized. The stories are all over the place. And you can’t even find the right ones. I’d give this zero stars if I could.

    Don’t get me wrong I absolutely love the game, the way it works, the art style and the multiple stories it’s amazing! But I don’t like the way you need to use hearts for every special interaction with characters! I see many romance related games do this, while I understand why they do it’s also annoying. I feel it’d be better if players could write their own responses (following whatever rules and guidelines you have set) and go on like that or use interaction points to use special replies or have a daily login bonus to gain hearts! Rant aside I do really enjoy the game!

    All of the plot and art is very creative and beautifully done, the only thing is that I think getting hearts should be more accessible for people who can spend a bunch of money on apps like this. A lot of platforms use sponsored adds to get coins, hearts, points, etc. and I think this should be something this app should invest some more thought into. And I get that there are fun and fairly easy competitions that you can participate in but watching a quick (30 second to a minute) add would be much easier and simpler because you have to wait several hours and even days for these competitions. I’m the type of person who wants to support aspiring creators and artists but it’s difficult because I can’t spend much money. But I can watch an add or do a daily login for hearts to support them.

    I saw an Instagram ad for Shark Bait in the app. I have been a long time Arcana fan and have been wanting some more stories to follow along with. So far, Shark Bait has been a blast!! Definitely give the app a try, at the very least. If you’re also an Arcana fan, you’ll find lots to love with the Dorian app. Plus being able to directly support the creators on the app feels good!!
