I am a retired teacher. My memory isn’t as good as it used to be (as one would expect) but I study my world now more than ever. With today’s easy access to an almost infinite universe of knowledge, I have, in Evernote, the greatest man-made tool I can use to aid my learning! Thank you!

I’m a sucker for keeping this subscription. I need to find the time to migrate the app to something free: Company doesn’t know I exist: just collects money
  • Don’t Get! New Update with Ad Videos or Pay Monthly Subscription Fee to Avoid

I’ve had this app for 5+ years and now they have added ad videos and you must pay a monthly subscription to avoid them. I never minded the ads on the side for the free version but this is so disappointing, I immediately deleted my app and account. Now have to look for an app that won’t force money out of their customers to avoid ad videos.

This used to be my go to note taking app but it’s been ruined by greedy developers. It’s a note taking app, there’s absolutely no reason to force ads on us just to use it.
  • Total Disappointment

I had been using the free version of this app for years with great satisfaction. But then things changed. First the free version was restricted. I understood why this was the case. Finally I was going to have to pay a monthly fee to continue using the app which I did for three months but when I tried to look at my information a few days ago I was unable to do so. Too bad. I would have continued using the app but the changes and the fact that my info is inaccessible I’m done.

I have been a member since they took over Springpad. Springpad was free so I was angry that I had to start paying for what I had already for free. I have been impressed with their ideas and it seems that when I make a suggestion it seems to show up. They are awesome at giving me ideas on formatting to make things work for me.

Only thing I believe is missing is a key for saving. Jumping back-and-forth between programs I’ve lost some things.

A serious note-taking and management app.

As a historian, I’m also collecting bits of info- names of books, facts, stories, photos, citations etc. Evernote reduces all the little piles of paper and gives me tools to organize information coherently. And the web clipper feature is great.
  • Too much to ask?

Evernote has made many improvements in stabilization, which has helped. The improvements that users have been waiting for haven’t changed though. A few examples: There is no way to password protect individual files. There are just a few colors- Many fewer than when Evernote was purchased. Moving pics and graphic media is limited. But the price has soared and the Premium Level is no longer Premium. They’ve made it brutal to export your files. That’s no accident. If there was a decent, comparable alternative, we’d all go to it, but it would be better if Evernote just listened to its paid users, instead of its developers.
