  • Always too much of a warning

I swear this program is the kind!! It always alerts me too early to when I think it’s gonna happen happens but happens after all that happens. Does that make sense? So basically 5 min warnings alert vs the average 1-1.5 mins alert.

I’ve been using QuakeFeed for a couple of years now. I’ve got a fascination with forces of nature and have lived in a many places with varying types of them. This app serves to keep my curiosity about real-time natural disasters informed. The UX is basic and sometimes clunky, but it’s also super simple to use.

The best app I have used for earthquakes. I have tried others. This is the one I kept.

This app is next to my phone contacts, The Weather Channel, etc. The information is very searchable. It is easy to adjust the quake filter settings to modify alerts.

Living in Northern California, notices from QuakeFeed are very helpful. Also helps knowing when friends or family are near the epicenter around the world.
  • Once was a good app

But then quakes weren’t enough information so they put wildfires on it too and the UI became confusing and overwhelmed with information. I will not renew my subscription after the current cycle.
