  • Great app, was even better before

    I do love Vivino and it makes it easy to pick the right wines for me when I am in a store and need to check out flavor profile, how bold or dry a wine is, etc. I find that the app is pretty accurate. I do not love the ads that we now get as opposed to before. Sometimes, I am in a hurry when I go into a wine shop and I now have to wait for ads to finish which slows down the whole process. It was better before!

    This is the second time Vivino has allowed me to place an order, collected payment, and FAILED TO DELIVER. When this issue is resolved I will delete this app permanently.

  • Beware of the wine stores where Vivino purchases their wines from, the do not protect YOU.

    I have recently cancelled my premium subscription with Vivino, they are the worst, many reviews are not legitimate and customer service is horrible.

    I haven’t ordered from Vivino in approximately a year. When you join the membership to receive a free bottle when you order a case, they limit the amount to $15. Not sure how that is a free bottle…(unless you’re drinking Thunderbird.) Also, they enticed me to come back with a 10% off on any order, so I did & ordered the only 7 bottles of Zuccardi Aluvional La Consulta 2018 & paid for it with the 10% discount. Then they cancelled the order due to some discrepancy with the seller. After an apology, they encouraged me to purchase again, however they don’t offer the 10% welcome back…interesting. Very skeptical of the marketing.

    I’ve used vivino for a long time. I was shocked to discover new unskippable ads after scanning wines at the grocery. You already served ads inline and pushed wine lead gen on us via retail. That wasn’t enough i guess but this kills the UX entirely

  • Buyer Beware-Unreliable Service and Shady Practices

    I've been using the Vivino app for nearly two years, and in December 2024, I became a paid member, primarily to take advantage of their advertised "Free Shipping" on wine orders. Since then, I've placed about a dozen orders through the app. Unfortunately, my experience has taken a sharp downturn. On multiple occasions, l've been charged for wine that was never delivered. For example, I recently ordered five bottles, but only received four-yet I was still charged for all five. This has happened more than once. Worse yet, customer service is virtually non-existent. The only point of contact I've encountered is someone named Fady, who has been unhelpful and unresponsive. It often takes weeks to get a reply, and even longer for the wine to actually ship. If I hadn't proactively reached out, I would never have received refunds for missing items. There is no phone support available, which is frustrating and unacceptable for a company handling transactions and shipments. Their response is simply that "phone support is not available in your area"— vague and unhelpful excuse. To make matters worse, prices may change after your purchase. I strongly recommend screenshotting your order details, including bottle prices, because what you're charged later may not match what you agreed to. Overall, this has been a deeply disappointing experience. I no longer trust this company and plan to file formal complaints with both the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission. To anyone considering using Vivino for wine purchases: proceed with caution. While the app has some great features, their e-commerce and customer service practices are seriously flawed. I highly recommend not ordering wine through them until trissues are addressed.
