To create or customize an unlimited number of items you can unlock a one time in-app purchase. NOTE The matching between barcodes/photos and items is managed in a social way, through the community of IntelliList users. Inevitably, in the beginning only few barcodes/photo will be recognized. But the more people use IntelliList, the better IntelliList will get. • Great app for sharing shopping lists

I tried several other shopping apps, but Intellilist is definitely the best. I have used the app since 2018. I can scan in items or add items manually with pictures and share the lists with my husband. Now when he goes shopping, he knows exactly what to get! I just had a problem with the scan feature not working after updating my iPhone to 17.1.1. I put in a bug report on Saturday and Tuesday I got an answer on how to restore in app purchases. I had another question years ago and I remember tech support responded promptly. Great app I highly recommend it.

I had a problem with the app not remembering I paid for the upgrade. I contacted support and they got right back to me with the fix for my problem. If I could give this app 11 stars I would.
  • Ok but a little frustrating to use

Overall, the app does a good job of creating individual store lists and adding items to those lists. The problem I’ve run into is syncing information with my wife’s lists. We both use identical lists (7 in all) and we both synchronize our lists with her Dropbox account. The problem we found is that the list don’t update or synchronize consistently and the order of our lists on the list screen constantly get reshuffled in no apparent order. I’ve tried backing up and restoring the app on both my phone and my wife’s phone, but that has not fixed the problem. I have the “sort list manually” checked under lists, but again, the app randomly re-shuffles the order of all my list. So, other than the constant reshuffling the order of my lists and inconsistent updates and synchronization of our list items, it’s an ok app. Just wish these two nagging glitches would get resolved. The company to their credit replies promptly to email inquiries but they have not been successful in coming up with a solution using app settings.

I’ve had IntelliList for several years. I love the fact that it keeps track of the prices of items so I know when I make my list approximately how much I’ll be spending and can adjust the list based on my budget. Prices can be updated as they change. I had an issue on my iPhone and sent an email on Monday. I got a response on Tuesday telling me how to fix it. Simple and easy.

I synch between my iPad & iPhone through Dropbox. Bought it back in 2019 when my other shopping app was discontinued. I love this list. Easy to add photos of items so makes shopping a snap. I don’t use all the features, like taxable, sorting by store aisles, because tax rates change, stores rearrange, but I do have multiple stores, and different lists, so usually “sort by store.” I had a couple of problems while learning, but support has been amazing, and issues easily resolved. Do not hesitate to upgrade to the paid version. If you are a list maker, you’ll not regret it.
  • The Grocery App that works

UPDATE: The app experienced that thing where Apple and iOS think you haven’t paid for it. The way it manifested I wasn’t sure what was happening. I contacted the developer and he got back to me right away and told me how to restore the in-app purchase I had made many years ago. Worked, and this very useful and excellent app is working again. I also had to go into Dropbox restore the database to an earlier date to get the lists back. We have been using IntelliList for a few months and it’s perfect for our grocery shopping lifestyle. The scanner is fast and accurate. The search works great. Easye to add photos to items. Works well with Dropbox to keep your list synced between devices. The developer is actively improving the app and listens to users. We had a small problem recently with a list and their customer support was great. They even helped us on the weekend. I recommend trying it out for a couple of weeks to learn the ins and outs before buying the full version. You will need the full version if you want to create more than 30 items in your database. I feel the UI esthetics could be improved, but in some ways I like the minimal design. I set mine to black and white for maximum contrast in harsh grocery store lighting.

Thank you for the easier to read, larger font, helpful, intuitive searching & fast loading of pages. Your app makes my life as a restaurant owner so much easier!

Been using this app for quite awhile! It has so many great features & the developer continues to provide free updates!!! I purchased the unlimited features, so I have the ability to create unlimited lists & items. The price comparison for items is invaluable! It saves me money every time I shop and provides the ability to keep track of the price changes of an item. I can organize items within a store, add photos & add items to the vast database if I scan an item that isn’t already in the database. There are many more features & flexibility. The developer is very responsive & has continued to update the app with very nice enhancements! Really appreciate the free updates & also that there is NO subscription & recurring costs that many apps are going to. Thanks to the continued dedication of the developer!
  • One confusing app

IntelliList One confusing app * There are no grocery categories, they are defined as aisles * To copy/move an item from one list to another requires each item to be copy/moved individually. Nothing simple like selecting a whole bunch at once then do the copy/move once. * Each item takes up a large amount of screen space, only 4 items show, compact mode shows 6. Shrink those icons or ditch them altogether. * App shows all functions available for each item, functions that are infrequently used such as copy/move should be under a menu and expanded if used, clean up the clutter. * You have to say if an item is taxable and it must be done for each item, what a waste of time. Yeah, where I shop 1000s of items have no tax and 1000s have tax, riiiggghhhttt… * Doing this on hundreds of items gets old * App downloads hundreds of items after install to build a preloaded list. 1st 3 items entered were not on the list. * You cannot duplicate an item but you can add a store name. So… if I you purchased the same item from 2-3 stores, how would you compare, the only way would be to add a note. We all do it, depends where you are, nobody always buys from the same store. It would cost you more in time and gas to travel to your go to store. Pros The most useful feature this app has over all others is that you can create a smaller list from the master list. Been looking for an app that does this and this app does. You have a master list of hundreds of items but when you shop you only need for example 5-47 items. This creates a focus list. Why all other shopping lists do not do this is beyond me. They all insist to show all items and no way to highlight what you plan to buy. Yeah, everyone buys everything on their master list each time they shop. This requires constant scrolling and remembering what is needed because you cannot even highlight your items. Nobody shops like that except developers of apps. What a useless workflow. –––––– The cons of this app however out weighs the most useful feature. You have to pay to use other features and functions but there are too many cons and paying to find more cons is not worth it.
