As the description says, the app is a collection of visual stories, rather like short National Geographic pieces. The stories are beautifully done and cover an incredible range of topics from around the world. I'm not sure how I missed this app until now but I enjoy it a lot.

Beautifully accessible photo-stories that are windows to the world. What's not to love?

This app has matured and has become better and more easier to use and understand. The commentary is well edited and brief. I have been using this app in previous manifestations and it was a bit clunky to use and lacked an easy way to know what each of the pictorial collections was about. I will definitely use this more, especially to get a closer look at stories I am interested in. My only quibble is that there is a subscription for HD.

I downloaded this app some time ago and hadn't really used it until recently, but when I opened it and came across the Ethiopian salt trade feature (which is excellent) I was hooked. It's a fabulous combination of text and pictures. And they keep adding features such as being able to follow individual countries. Quite simply it may be the best reason to own an iPad!
