  • Still the slowest app by far and never fails to crash.

The editing would be nice if I could edit a photo without the app crashing seventeen times in the process. iPhone 14 Pro Max so it isn’t the phone, don’t even try.

VSCO was my favorite photo app up until they locked basic editing features for free users. It’s ridiculous how simple features can be locked. Make VSCO great again.
  • Missing Old Studio Photos

Got a new phone, and was disappointed to see several photos missing from my studio when I logged in. They actually show up as blank tiles, but don’t load the images. Some of the missing photos are the oldest, while others are the newest! The preview page is also glitchy; trying to scroll down to see which filter I used is treated like a “stretch” so I have to keep my finger on the screen to view it, ie VSCO thinks it all fits in my screen when it doesn’t… VSCO charges so much money and yet is so glitchy. What a waste. Previous review: I’ve used this app since 2013, long before the subscription model was a notion, so I know that filters like A6 and C1, and tools like tone, split tone, and grain were free. They were FREE FOR YEARS. Now they’re behind the subscription paywall. Shows how greedy VSCO has become, which is a shame because it was the best, most accessible photo editing app for people of all budgets and interests. I can’t afford that expensive membership anymore, and now it feels like a slap in the face for having to use the free version without the features that—it bears repeating—were FREE FOR YEARS.
  • Not free

I used this app for years. I would edit all my photos with it. Recently they updated the app and you now have to PAY to edit your photos. How are you going to make someone pay for an editing feature when it’s an app for editing?? Makes no sense.
  • No private accounts?

I wish there was an option to have a private account because I love this app but I deleted it because I couldn’t have a private account and I don’t want everyone to be able to see my photos.
  • Great… but lately…

This is a great app but with the update I feel it takes a extra long time for photos to upload so you can work on them. Not sure what that’s about or if it’s happening for anyone else but it’s soo frustrating
  • Really buggy for how simple & expensive it is

Used to love this app! Super simple settings that make photo editing a breeze and mimic analog photography. In the last few years it’s gotten super buggy with plenty of features not working, especially collage. App will freeze up, exports will come out off center and weirdly cropped for no reason. Lots of exports completely fail with no explanation. Considering what it costs for these features (which again, aren’t fancy) it’s pretty shocking. Do better please!! Get back to basics, keep it simple, and price to reflect it.

Been using this to simply frame my film photos in a white rectangle appropriate for instagram, and now I can’t even do that due to the pay wall. I really liked this app, and it fulfilled what I needed. Disappointed to not be able to use it for my original purposes, and I have no reason to use it going forward.
  • Video editing is SO glitchy

I love using VSCO to edit photos, but it’s impossible to edit videos. It’s so glitchy any time you try to adjust the speed or add any filters, and whenever I try to save an edited video, the lighting is very dim for no reason and I can’t figure out a way to fix it. It’s really frustrating considering that I pay for a membership and pathetic that the app can’t perform one of the main functions it’s supposed to.
  • Hate the new layout
