Used to be worthy of five states, now no longer worthy of even *one*.

Now they want to charge $4+ per month?! Plenty of other news apps. Not worth it.

Simple easy access news stories. multiple length videos to recap the news depending on free time.
  • App Now Unusable After Update

After update, my app is constantly “verifying the device”, which succeeds but proceeds to do it over and over again. It never stops. I can’t read any news. Shutting the app down does nothing to fix it
  • Resets and loses your place too often

It too frequently refreshes and puts you back to the top of the feed. Then you have to scroll through and find where you were. It happens every time I read an article, by the time I finish I find myself back at the top and have to scroll through looking for where I was.
  • Trusted AND favorite news source

Highly recommended. This is the only news app for which I allow notifications so I’m not totally overwhelmed with news topics. And I get articles with facts, not bias. It’s well worth the annual subscription price, too, as I find myself a daily reader of Reuters. Excellent investigative journalism as well; currently, I am following their detailed coverage of the deadly November 2025 Wang Fuk Court fires in Hong Kong.
  • Love Reuters, iPad app still broken in 2025

Excellent journalism and iPhone app, but the iPad version is inexcusable. It refuses to support landscape, so it flips upside-down with Apple’s own keyboard attached. This is a 15-minute code fix every other news app made years ago. Please update it; until then, forced to use the website.
  • Great news, app needs work.

App doesn’t take full advantage of iPad screen real estate.
  • Great News - Broken App Verification

Reuters has been a go-to source for accurate, unbiased news. However, I have cancelled my subscription as the app has broken for myself and other individuals and Reuters has made no effort to fix it. Attempting to access the device— across any network configuration— results in a Verification Death Loop. “Verifying the device…” appears briefly on the screen upon opening the app, stating ‘the requested content will be available after verification’ yet it never loads the site after the fact, only prompting me to verify my device again ad nauseam. I love Reuters but this is unacceptable and has forced me to explore different options.
