  • Poor Backup

This app backup is too poor and when I try to sync between my devices the app miss some flights.
  • Decent for airline use, poor for training

If you need a foreflight subscription for your flying, just use that for your logbook too, and don't waste the money on this. The endorsement feature is terrible here! Unintuitive, clunky, and many times harder to use or retrieve than FF. If you're logging block time at work this is fine, but so is an excel spreadsheet

LogTen is my onestop shop for everything. I love keeping track of the smallest of details throughout my flying career. Smart groups let me keep track of different chapters of my training, career, and personal goals. There are so many people that loathe curating and keeping up with their logbook. But I haven't had or ever come close to getting that feeling with LogTen. They have a customer for life.
  • Good, but not what it used to be.

I've been a LogTen user for around 12 years or so now and loved it for many years. The ability to generate reports and print things out into a presentable format has gotten me through many interviews over the years and have made things very very easy. I haven't kept a paper logbook for many years as LogTen does a great job, and with the cloud and backing up to an external drive, I feel comfortable. The ability to sync across devices makes things nice and easy; UNTIL NOW. With the latest version, Lightning, I've been having many issues with syncing. Normally I import my schedule to create entries for the trips I've just flown on my computer, and my entries sync to my phone and ipad from there. Well, not anymore. With the latest update, I've been having random entries not sync across devices, and even random entries just end up deleted from my computer(where all entries originate)! Very frustrating as I've had to go back and re-enter all of my data. I've always advocated for LogTen and Coradine despite the cost of the subscriptions, but feel their story is typical of a company who has done too much too fast. All in all, still a good product, but kind of buggy for something that has been around a while and for something that many of us have grown to rely on...

The app data deletes automatically. The simulator session from a roster cannot be downloaded. this has been requested for 5years now and still no progress.

I liked the old system sync where you can sync between devices. Not my other devices dont do the auto sync per the update so the only real time logbook I have is on the iphone and my mac and ipad wont auto sync once opening the app. Yes I have the most up to date version.

  • Always Room For Improvement

I have been a LogTen user for 7 years now and if I had to give a simlpe answer, it would be that I enjoy the application. However, there is always room for imporovement. I would personally enjoy an imporoved pay tracking system where airline empolyees could track their pay. This would defninitely take some time and coordination with airline pilots becuase of the diveristy and complexity of the situation. Airline pilots deal with Credit which is what a trip is worth, per diem, international stipends, and other sources of pay (examples could be "sit pay", 200% for premium trips, trip change benefits which could be pay on top of a trip's credit because of a change of schedule in the middle of a rotation). There are many different scenarios which could affect what the pilot gets paid for a certain trip. That being said, if LogTen could figure out a way for pilots to introduce different pay options associated with trips I would absolutely give this app a 5 star review. One other small item I have found to be a bit confusing is at times the logbook marks the flight on a different date than the actual day the flight took off. This is most likely due to the application wanting to use GMT time compared to Local time is my thought. They fixed their syncing issues which I was supper excited to see and now it is WAY better than before. Overall you all are doing a good job and looking forward to how this app develops and grows for the future generation of aviators!
  • WAY OVERPRICED

Newest update doesn't auto sync, you have to choose one source as the primary source before you can sync BUT it doesn't allow you to look at the source for trueth before you submit. It should give you the option to look at them side by side and see what if anything is missing between devices then allow you to sync. WAY OVERPRICED spreadsheet. There is ZERO reason why this cost as much as it does. I am keeping my recomendation of try other prodcuts before this one.
