I enjoy the lessons and basics of playing the guitar. I love how the teacher educates you on frets, strings, chords, half and full steps, etc. I especially love the mini practices with songs as they train your fingers to move across the bars. However, the only problem I have is the app not picking up sound easily. In practice and challenge mode, sometimes it doesn’t count when you pluck a note or strum a chord. It’s frustrating when I’m constantly playing the same note loud enough for the app to hear me and it doesn’t count it. Overall, this is a great way to learn the guitar or any other instrument.

Horrible new update that says stupid stuff like WHOOPS BIFF DOINK ZIP and all sorts of other stuff when you miss a note. Did yall just need some work to keep the engineers busy? I can assure you other areas of the app need improvement

it’s a very good app and help me a little.it only helped me a little bit because after you finish the free lesson it makes you want pay for the rest of the lesson. so if you don’t want to pay i don’t recommend this app.

This app broke my guitar.I was trying to tune it on there tuning feature, I was tuning string 2 and it kept on telling me to lower it.I did and I had the phone close to me so it would pick up the sound good.But it just broke my strings going to have to save up for the money for new strings,don’t download please.

I’ve been using this app for a bit. I’d say it’s great. Lots of lessons, lots of learning opportunities, lots of songs, etc. If you’re trying to learn the basics of guitar, this app will definitely get you there. However, I’ve been experiencing one issue. Sometimes when I play notes, the app doesn’t register them. I have an amplifier, and I know I’m playing the note (or chord) correctly. I’m not sure why this is happening, but it’s annoying. It’s demotivating, even. I’ve been trying not to give up on this app, because of the hefty price I paid to use it fully. But it’s very frustrating to be playing notes ten times over just for it to say it was never played at all. I’ve seen other people dealing with this same issue, so I know it’s not just me. Please fix this.

I initially loved Yousician and signed up for my kids, hoping it would spark their interest in music. Unfortunately, the app turned out to be unreliable. After just a few tries, my kids became frustrated with constant glitches, shorter lessons, and poor updates that made the app worse over time. We decided to take a break, and I forgot about the membership for a few months. When I finally reached out to customer service to request an extension for the months we didn’t use, I was met with disappointing support. Despite paying for a full year of premium, they only gave basic extension and did not match the time lost —nowhere near the value of what I paid. No refunds, no proper compensation, and minimal effort to make things right. At $150 per year, I expected better. The app has shifted from being a great learning tool to a frustrating cash grab. Every update reduces quality while increasing costs. It’s clear customer satisfaction and teaching are no longer priorities. I can’t recommend it to others.
