The view layout is so messy. Some photos are randomly larger than others.

So great seeing photos and activities I haven’t seen in years to decades, and photos I’d thought I’d lost when my old phone passed away

It’s so bad. Once your photos are on there it’s EXTREMELY difficult to get them back off. Easy to delete org copies and all around a terrible app. I miss when it was Picassa before Google ruined it. Also it will lower your photo quality without permission and delete originals. Edit your photos without your permission.

Literally the #1 feature this app should have, to be able to download photos back to your iPhone when needed, has been removed. so they can keep you trapped into their ecosystem instead. Horrible. So long for “don’t be evil”. And the new AI search is terrible compared with the old one they had before this whole Gemini push started.

I absolutely love when Google pics randomly notifies me of a new album it created. I really do!

Saying nothing to free up even though there are plenty of photos to free up

Shared albums don’t sync since the last update. I can see the photos if I go in the browser but the app does not show the most recent photos added to the shared album. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and still the problem persists.
