I know I’m a kid, but I LOVE the boundaries. Makes me know in a KIND way to get off my phone more! not sure my the Qustodio people said they were sorry I felt annoyed about my screen time but I’m actually happy. Thanks!

This app o had already had it for a day and I hate it. O don’t get how an app has so much control over my phone. I don’t have signal to do anything. I really want to wish my best friend happy birthday but a can’t because humans create the most abnormal things.

i have a lot to say about this app.
i understand that parents aim to keep their children away from predators online and to safeguard them from viewing inappropriate content. there's nothing wrong with that. if i were a parent, i would do that too. but apps like these are way too far.
it's clear that whoever came up with this disgrace has never spoken to a child before, because if they did, they would know that children are being educated about internet safety at schools. "but qustodio actually forces the kids to abide by screen time regulations!" placing this app onto their device just discourages them from freely expressing themselves. i live in constant fear knowing that qustodio is practically breathing down my neck every time i use my device.
the following reasoning is the most crucial thing i need to get off my chest. qustodio is unhealthy. take my friend, for example, who will remain anonymous. she never purposely did anything with malicious intent on her tablet, but inevitably her parents turned to qustodio. it's been about four years since this app has plagued her ipad, and her mental health has sharply declined because of the constant limitations. she considered self-harm because of this app. no one ever believes her when she tries to discuss how the thing that is supposed to help her is actually breaking her down. parents: if you don't want your kid(s) to deliberately hurt themselves, be wary of the hidden consequences of this app.
qustodio preaches the removal of boundaries between children and adults, although its developers claim the opposite. careful observation of reviews from frustrated children has shown that qustodio just copies and pastes a similar response to the complex and heartfelt struggles of each child. what people see on the outside is an app with a golden reputation for safeguarding kids online, but look closely at the ratings and think again.
the most common sliver of advice thrown at critics of this app is to talk it out with their parents. i've tried, failed, tried again, and failed miserably again. every time i try to decrease restrictions or negotiate terms with my parents, things just get worse. it's ironic that the solution provided by qustodio itself for dissatisfaction with the app is completely useless.
i'm baffled that qustodio is even letting me write this review in the first place. it's so ridiculously over-the-top. if i see one of those generic a.i. generated developer responses under this review, i'll just be proven right.

I don’t feel like I need screen time on my phone. I’m already old enough to see everything and I don’t need anything blocked and I feel like I’m not on my phone that much anymore so I don’t need to screen time block at all and I would definitely rate this a 0 out of 5 stars. that’s why I really really really hate this app
Don’t let the 2.5 stars deter you

The iOS version does need some TLC, but other than that it’s worth the money. Almost all of these reviews were made by kids who don’t want to be restricted. This is an app that is recommended and used by ITs and other professionals. The problems it has are addressed quickly and professionally. Earned every star I’ve given
