Hate it took me this long to ingest these words. Brother Malcolm’s life read out like a motion picture. I’m sorry we didn’t protect you as a people. You have personally inspired in me, stronger beliefs and clearer insight to not only the life of a crusader but the plight of our struggle to truly become free. 🤲🏾
  • CONTROVERSIAL FIGURE

Haley did a good job of painting the true identity of Malcom X. He was a broken boy, who carried all those unresolved issues into adulthood and became a Muslim Extremist in the process.

This book has open me to how I think about the world since Malcolm death. Some 60 years later things haven’t changed much. The thing I love most is despite his deep convictions he was still able to change and because of those changes the world became better. His life is also a cautious tale of how you should only follow god and not man. Malcolm and his family deserve better! I wished I had read this book when I was younger. I recommend all people of all races and ages read this book!

For me, this a real love/hate story about the life of Malcolm X. I love that despite him only being 39 at death he had really lived forever. The hate about is I always think of how life would have been if his life wasn’t taken. Truth be told I believe the Nation of Islam & several Christian denominations planned against this man. Crazy how people will grow to dislike a person once they feel that demanding aurora. And much like a lot of stories in this thing called life: it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish.

Not sure where to begin, but I’ll say that it’s a must read. I initially downloaded the book and begin reading it and then I bought the hard copy to annotate more in it. This literary piece is full of insight of America and the modern world as we know through the lens of someone who came from the bottom to awaken by the very power of Allah to metamorph into a prominent Historical figure of the 20th Century. His awakening is one relative to the Black men of today whom life’s value to yield jewels some 60 years later. I love seeing the Malcolm before and after transformation from the bottom to becoming his highest self able to be pure and selfless which are attributes missing from the modern people these days. RISE IN PEACE EL HAJJ MALIK AL SHABAZZ

It this book doesn’t change your life it should, at the very least, change whatever you think you know about Malcolm X.

This was one of the most engaging books that I have read in a long while. The book brings profound perspective of the Black American community that one can learn from and it is a great story of how deep conviction can reverberate and transform others.
