Choose Your Own Adventure (CYOA) stories are a type of book popularized in the 1980s and 1990s. They are known for putting the reader in the “driver’s seat” and allowing him/her to make important plot decisions based on choices laid out by the author.
Writing these books requires thorough planning, creativity, and most importantly imagination! This book uncovers how a Grade 5/6 teacher incorporated CYOA story writing into a narrative writing unit.
