Description

An epic fantasy with a swoon-worthy romance and a conflict that will keep readers on the edges of their seats, Blade & Crystal Thorns is the 3rd book in the Fae and Crystal Thorns series.

A dagger could save them… if they don't get stabbed in the back with it first.

Chloe and Quintus have just discovered a hidden court inside Faerie. It seems obvious who the new leader should be, especially once they realize how to find the missing crown. A golden and emerald dagger is the key to discovering it, but in the wrong hands, it could ruin them all.

When mortals start invading the court, their meddling impedes Chloe and Quintus's quest for the crown. Even worse, Chloe starts to wonder if she truly agrees with Quintus's plans for how the new court should be ruled.

With a long journey ahead, their differing ideals might finally pull them and the new court apart. This time, for good.

Chloe & Quintus have embarked on an epic quest, but along that journey there will be mistakes, and heartache. Both will need to overcome and be willing to forgive, but will they be able to do that, and still save Crystalfall in time?

Great continuation the story. Chloe and Quintus are exploring the hidden court they found and trying to reconcile their differing views on the mortals in this book. It is full of suspense and moves the story along nicely.

OMGosh This book was amazing. I love a story when it has all the feels! And boy this one did not disappoint! It was very emotional for me. I love Quintus and Chloe so much! I highly recommend this book and this whole series, put it on top of your TBR! I cannot wait for the next book to come out!!! This ending though!!!
  • Court of Jewels

Chloe and Quintus journey on into the “new” court they stumbled upon through the magical cave, only to discover perhaps it is not a new court at all. It is merely slumbering, waiting for its king or queen to awaken it. This court is literally made of jewels, to the point there is nothing edible. This does indeed prove a problem for creatures who need to eat and drink, and of course there are magical ways around that issue. Until the magic is locked out by a mortal who thinks they have all the answers. Another tale of the Bitter Thorn Fae with more of the mortals, both kind hearted and otherwise. It was not as fast paced or in depth as the other books but there will be more to come in the next book in the series!
  • Oof, the emotions…

This book was probably the hardest on me of any of Kay's books. The emotions were so prominent, and one moment I agree with an anger a character feels, only to be horrified the next moment... and so so concerned through the rest of the book. So much tension, more danger, a connection to the Nutcracker of Crystalfall standalone (which was amazing and I highly recommend reading before this book)... And of course, I was growing so eager for the next book even before that twist ending that caught me so off-guard I think I actually gasped out loud lol. This book went faster for me than the others, and I found myself disappointed when it ended, while usually I can sense books coming to a close and can prepare myself. This time I was just like... :( "There isn't more?" Fantastic book as always! I highly recommend all of Kay L Moody's books!
