Description

Do you like to camp and ride bikes - straight out of the campground? This guide lists 440 campgrounds with easy access to paved bike trails.

Part 1 lists FHU campgrounds.  There are 292 FHU campgrounds listed.

Part 2 lists campgrounds with partial hook ups.  There are 144 campgrounds with partial hook ups listed.

Part 3 lists campgrounds with no hook ups.  This section lists 4 campgrounds and will be further developed.

Part 4 lists campgrounds without a trail  but where there is great riding.  There are 2 campgrounds listed.  This section will be further developed.

Part 5 lists campgrounds for those over 55.  There are 2 campgrounds listed.  This section will be further developed.

Note:  The campgrounds listed in Part4 and Part 5 are counted in the totals for Part 1, 2 or 3 - whichever applies.

All of the campgrounds and trails are linked, so the reader may easily access current online information.

Easy access to a paved (or hard surfaced trail, such as crushed limestone) means you can ride your bike from the campground to the trail. You do not have to ride your bike on busy roads nor do you have to bring your bike to the trail using a vehicle and/or a bike rack.

A brief description of each trail is included, so readers may know the approximate length of the trail. The information is organized by state and then by city in each section.

The ebook lists 292 campgrounds that offer full hook ups and easy access to paved (or hard surfaced) bike trails. The information is organized by state and then by city and provides links to online information for the campground and trails.

The links provide access to online, current information for the campgrounds and the trails. This way, the reader can ensure the campground meets their own personal standards and check for any current information, including restrictions or closures, regarding the trails.

Part 2 of the ebook lists 144 campgrounds which offer partial hook ups and easy access to bike trails.

Easy access to a paved (or hard surfaced trail, such as crushed limestone) means you can ride your bike from the campground to the trail. You do not have to ride your bike on busy roads nor do you have to bring your bike to the trail using a vehicle and/or a bike rack.

The trails are all hard surfaced, such as paved asphalt or crushed limestone. These are not mountain bike trails. A brief description is included for each trail, so the reader knows the approximate length of the trail.

Readers are encouraged to submit suggestions for additional campgrounds with hook ups that have easy access to paved trails. Updates are made to the ebook as new locations are found. This description always contains the latest count.  This version of the ebook will continue to be updated through 2026.
