Description

Richard (Pierce Brosnan) is a successful college professor who gives up a steady stream of one-night-stands and beautiful undergrads for fatherhood with much younger Kate (Jessica Alba). Three years later, when Kate falls in love with someone else and moves out, she sends her sister, Olivia (Salma Hayek), to make sure Richard is properly caring for their son. Assuming Richard is back to his irresponsible playboy lifestyle, Olivia is shocked when she starts to fall in love with him herself.

    My girlfriend made me watch this and I like pierce brosman so I went with it. The movie was surprisingly light, easy to watch, and an ending that left you feeling satisfied (no matter how cliche it was). Yes, the movie may come across as derivative, but it had its own unique storyline. I can't say I'll watch this movie a second time in the near future, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. If you need a movie to because you are bored or have a date night this movie is perfect.

    I enjoyed the movie. Of course, there are a few lame scenes here and there, but the actors did a decent job. The women are also quite stunning and let’s not forget about the California weather and the beach. It was definitely fun - you certainly could do much worse with all the crap out there.

    Can't miss with great cast, watching pierce and salma is worth the price of admission alone. watch it with someone fun who also enjoys these wonderful actors and lighthearted romance. Critics downed movies like After Hours and Harold and Maude which went on to become cult classics and many show their ineptness again by ignoring the splendid qualities of this good film making.

    each character is different in some way, well played , salma hayek was funny and so cute, pierce brosnan Boy! so charming! i really enjoyed the movie !

    Rotten Tomatoes was very harsh on this film but in my personal opinion it was a rather good movie. I can see where people would find this movie rather dull and where it lacked in some areas but in the end I thought it was good. The performances were really good, great chemistry between the actors. The writing was a little bad and left a lot of gaps but overall the film was good. Would recommend to anyone who loves film for film.

    Fun, a bit quirky, and entertaining and a bit over-the-top! The writing and/or directing could have been a bit better at times- but there were some hidden gems and a lot of laughs.

    Acting and chemistry are well played. It’s a refreshingly familiar romantic comedy played by great actors. Nice to watch something light and entertaining. . .doesn’t always have to be an academy award material. Unsure who the critics are with rotten tomatoes…but guess they are not into Romanic comedies. Not all romantic comedies are good; I do think this one is good.
