These people are coffee zealots. Lots of white men talking about their existence like it's a gift to us all. Don't waste your time.

I love a good espresso as much as the next, but what a horrible documentary. So forced and fabricated. Who would fund such a film? It serioulsy played like a long commerial for that guy who the filmmakers clearly worship and who kept winning 2nd place. Then there was his tribe ofprivileged, wanna be, poser artisans. I can't remember the last time I saw a movie where there was this much ego feeding. The only redeeming qualities were the guy who wanted to be with his baby and the charming girl barista who actually seemed like she was having fun. Everyone else had an aura of entitlement, like they deserved to be recognized for something that they really only worked at for a couple of years. OMG I'm so bummed I wasted my buck on this hot garbage.

It really wasn't as interesting as I though it would be. This movie is very niche. If you yourself are a barista, you will probably be entertained. I thought I might watch it and maybe witness some untold story about baristas and the types of competitions they have. I really gave it a chance, but ultimately, I never watched it to the end because I couldn't relate to the characters.

It felt like whoever made this movie happened to be friends with the featured baristas and just wanted to make a bio pic showing their "struggles". That one of them basically completely ignored the history of wine and equated himself to a sommelier by saying that coffee is more complex without providing any reasoning as to why he felt that way, just shows the superiority complex these hipsters suffer from. I'm sure coffee does have a lot behind it that we commoners don't know anything about so I think this documentary could've used some backstory on the making of/derivation/history/etc. of coffee to help the viewer understand why these baristas are all so self-righteous-I mean passionate. This was fascinating in it's social commentary but more purplexing and slightly infuriating than anything else. Basically my hipster nightmare come to life.

I thought this was ok, but a little overdone. I found myself getting bored. Somm is a far better documentary with a similar theme

literally all I can do is make fart noises in response to this absolute garbage. it was an eternity of watching some hipster non-sense about how great they are. pbbbfft.

The producers chose five incredibly interesting characters to follow, each one unique and compelling. Add to that a number of supporting characters who all share in the passion behind making great coffee and the result is a documentary that had me going through the emotions of the competitors…and to reiterate, we’re talking about coffee. Neat documentary.
