Description

Welcome to Leith chronicles the attempted takeover of a small town in North Dakota by notorious white supremacist Craig Cobb. As his behavior becomes more threatening, tensions soar, and the residents desperately look for ways to expel their unwanted neighbor. With incredible access to both longtime residents of Leith and white supremacists, the film examines a small community in the plains struggling for sovereignty against an extremist vision.

Repulsive? Yes. Riveting? Absolutely! Has the ugly specter of racism been filmed before? You bet! But, when the venue takes place in a small town where there are but very few people, this film told me racism will exist regardless the size of our earth’s population...and how the unlikeliest of us are the last hope for understanding and acceptance, including the antagonist. A ‘must-watch’ film!

that this mentality is still around makes me wonder about the human species, some of the humans haven't evolved, yet? or will? or can't!!??

Surprised this isn’t covered better by the national media. Or disappointed.

As a documentary watcher and maker I really enjoyed this movie. Felt it was a very interesting look at an almost impossible to imagine scenario. In ways a character study as well, which I also enjoyed. Just a great time all around, gave it 4/5 as I felt the ending was a bit abrupt (as did others who watched the film with me). Highly recommend!

This documentary was not only one of the most interesting I've ever seen, but the story and the way it was filmed make it that much better. Definitely 5 star!

A beautifully shot, atmospheric and contained film about race and community in the USA. It's eerie and weird, horrific: a small piece of the unfolding story of this country.
