Description

Nothing is as it seems in this brain-bending plunge into our darkest desires. Elizabeth (Abbey Lee), a beautiful young newlywed, arrives at the palatial estate of her brilliant scientist husband Henry (Ciaran Hinds). Ensconced in modernist luxury with an obedient—if slightly unsettling—house staff (Carla Gugino & Matthew Beard), she has seemingly everything she could want. But one mystery tantalizes her: what is behind the locked door to Henry's laboratory that he has forbidden her to enter? When an inquisitive Elizabeth dares to find out, everything she thought she knew about her husband—and about herself—will change. Elizabeth Harvest casts a spell of creeping Gothic menace as it unravels a disturbing tale of identity, obsession, and twisted love.

I thought this movie was a great combination of thriller and sci-fi. The actors were really good. Definitely recommend watching it.

Very enjoyable with plots and twists that do not end. May not be for those who get bored easily. Acting matches the direction and mood of the film. Very well done!!!

When I watched the movie I got vibes from the 70s-80s horror movies. I loved the soundtrack, colors and scenography. Even when the plot was known thanks to the trailer and some posters, the movie still was so good, personally speaking at least. Abbey Lee is such a good actress! Her face expression, posture and voice in The Neon Demon (Where she plays Sarah) and her quiet character in Mad Max are so different from Elizabeth Harvest. I think the movie was underrated since you have to be very focused on the details, like Elizabeth's development... well, if you know what I mean in case you watched the movie already and understood it. It’s a shame there’s not a book about the movie itself (Not just “Bluebeard's wife”). I hope they release a DVD version. I really recommend it if you love hidden meanings in movies.

The lead actress is horrible and hideous. I feel like the movie could’ve done much better with a talented actress who fit the part
  • Boring!

In an age where Hollywood seems to recycle everything, this movie is fresh. If you’re looking for action or grisly horror, this isn’t it . Slow burn, with solid performances. Loved it.
