Had no idea what I was in for and enjoyed even moment of this film. The first half beautifully sets up the 2nd, and you have no idea what’s coming. A smart we’ll made film disguised as a traditional thriller. Lots to say about class and the cycle of abuse. Loved it.

The story is very well written and the acting was superb. As an enthusiast of both the horror and thriller genres I would have no problem recommending this movie to anyone.
  • Surprisingly a Great Movie!

I never dive right into a movie with no reviews when it first comes out, cause these numerous low key no name movies are pretty much always terrible. But I liked the synopsis so I did, and I lucked out with this one cause it’s actually not bad at all! And I’m pleased to see now that other viewers feel the same way. It’s such a rough life depicted for this family, and the brother Matt is so evil. I wish I could say that I know it’s fiction and when it comes to real families none are like this, but I know that’s not true and some are, which is really sad. But the movie is pretty well done actually, and believable too - I’m sure similar things have transpired. [SPOILERS] The only thing I would say was not believable is that this guy dressed as a security guard turns out to be a felon on the run - that’s super far fetched, but makes for a good movie. Also, I don’t think Joey would ask to go with the con, cause even tho I know he’s young and naive, I don’t think his character would want to leave his mom, cause he knows she needs him, and she can’t be left alone with his bro. To me, the no-brainer thing to do after he learns he’s on the run, and therefore the cops won’t believe anything the con says about the boys, would be for Joey to turn him in and take the reward money and use it to get him and his mom away from his bro!!

Pretty darn good. Could have been a little meatier in plot and story but has a great message. Brings toxic family life with a horrendous crime and blends it pretty darn well.
  • What a Movie!
