Rome Adventure

I am very new to iTunes and I racked my brain trying to remember the name of this movie in order to add it to my very small collection of movies, which include It Started In Naples, and La Dolce Vita. I had terrible luck until I happened upon the Classics on iTunes. I am happy to see that others have appreciated the simple beauty and charm of this movie. I only saw it once, and it resonated with me. I'm impatient to watch it again as soon ad it finishes downloading to my new iPhone. Cheers!

This classic never received the credit it deserved!! I remember this movie in high school. Before turning comic Suzanne Pleshette was considered very hot as was Angie Dickinson and Troy Donahue. Beautiful scenery of Italy and Swiss Alps and fountains of Rome. To me the music is what made this movie. The theme song is "Aldila " sung in Italian and instrumentally done while traveling with beautiful landscapes of timeless Europe. The great Al Hirt also played in the film and had both speaking parts and musical performance. I think it may have been his last motion picture before his passing. With all the remakes of old movies done today I'm rather baffled why this one hasn't been updated. One of my top five all-time favs.

This is a very beautiful, scenic movie. There are lovely scenes of all the best places you wish you could visit in Italy. The story is a good and moral one. It wouldn't offend your children and it would offer a bit of knowledge that Americans don't learn in school. The music is lovely and the romance is warm and sincere. Suzanne Pleshette is excellent in her part, as is Troy Donahue. I first rented this movie and loved it so much I decided to buy it. This is so much nicer than the trash Hollywood puts out nowadays.
