Description

Fatalistic teenager George Zingavoy (Freddie Highmore) is a master at just barely getting by. In fact, he’s practically turned it into an art form—making it through the entire school year without doing a shred of work. But when George meets a beautiful and complicated girl named Sally (Emma Roberts), he discovers a kindred spirit who turns his slacker world upside down. Their quirky and unexpected romance may just inspire George to do the unthinkable—get off his butt and chase after his dreams.

Mildly entertaining, but a very mediocre film with no purpose like its protagonist. It attempts to focus on the difficulties of life, but doesn’t capture anything of significance in a honest way, then sloppily ties in a cheesy feel-good ending.

I wanted to like this movie. It's ok. It's entertaining but I expected much more from it.

Those whom are looking for rainbows and happiness won't like this movie at all. Those popular teens won't like this at all either. This movie shows the kid that nobody notices. It's realistic and shows the genuine awkwardness and confusion that takes place during those stages in life. I would've liked for it to be a tad more touching but that's not what this movie was going after. It's honest. If you appreciate honesty and real life then you'll like this movie.

I first saw this movie as a senior in high school and I fell in love with it! The characters were interesting, funny, and relatable and the story was slightly cliche but in a good way. All in all a great movie that I would definitely recommend!!!!

I thought this movie was good, not great . Freddie Highmore was wonderful, as always, although I did not particularly care for Emma Roberts. I didn't feel much chemistry between her character and George. Aside from that, I thought it was a relatable movie for teens, and worth a watch for anyone else.

Not a real story line, not enough characters. If your looking for a good teen romance to cuddle up and watch, I would not choose this one. It was dull and unresolved. It was boring and unentertaining. I am a teenager too, so don't believe the good reviews. The movie was quite dull an frankly, a waste of my time and money. DO NOT BUY IT.

This movie is great, but it only for certain audience. Most critics of this movie are adults, so they might not be able to relate to the movie. They can't relate to it so they say this movie is boring and dull. However, I'm a teenager and I can completely relate to this movie and I find this movie to be one of the best movie I have ever seen. One of the thing critics mention is "these teenagers don't really have any real problems and they just living off their parents' trust." Honestly, one of the purposes of film is to take the audience away from reality stress, such as money. The writer didn't consider money to be a big factor in this movie, so what ? And let not forget that most teenagers today don't always worry about their money. All the actors were great in this movie, and I felt in love with most of the characters. By the way, the plot conflict(if you can't identify it) for the main character is about his feeling for the girl and trying to getting by with his life (just like any other romatic movie).
