  • Great cast, lame movie

How could such a quality cast have read such an inane script, and agreed to participate? The romance is implausible and awkward. The directing is loose. It looked increasingly wobbly in the first 20 minutes. Then, the wheels completely fell off and the whole thing skidded to a thud. Ugh.

Oh my gosh this movie is so good. My favorite kind of films are coming-of-age stories about an adult who's too old to be coming-of-age. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I really love the actors in this movie but did not like the story at all.

I rented this movie and tried to download it. It did not come up on my movie screen and I have not seen it yet! I am still waiting for it to come up in my movies.

This is a witty rom/com to be enjoyed on a relaxing weekend, entertainment from a stunning cast with a lot of tongue-in-cheek humor! I think the nay-sayers are looking in all the wrong places, this is clearly a good rom/com not high drama!

Good actors lost in an aimless, sophomoric and misguided plot. Wasteful. A much better use of your time would be to read the book, "The English Major" by Jim Harrison.
  • Bad Bet!!

Don't waste your $. Surprising! Great actors, but the plot is really, really boring, sad and not believable.
  • Boring and actually pretty bad

I can't believe I paid $10 for this - bad script - acting not great - another review said "nice movie" - nothing nice about this - mean, creepy, unsympathetic characters (what's nice about sleeping with the son and father - teacher and student) - seriously?
  • Good acting, weak story

Though the actors did a solid job of trying to perk things up, the story was weak, the pacing slow, and the resolution lack-luster. I'm giving it three stars for the three stars who gave their best and made me forget, at times, how this movie falls way below their usual standards. Perhaps the stars will come together again in something far more well thought-out.
