Description

More money flows through the family courts, and into the hands of courthouse insiders, than in all other court systems in America combined – over $50 billion a year and growing. Through extensive research and interviews with the nation’s top divorce lawyers, mediators, judges, politicians, litigants and journalists, DIVORCE CORP. uncovers how children are torn from their homes, unlicensed custody evaluators extort money, and abusive judges play god with people’s lives while enriching their friends. This explosive documentary reveals the family courts as unregulated, extra-constitutional fiefdoms. Rather than assist victims of domestic crimes, these courts often precipitate them. And rather than help parents and children move on, as they are mandated to do, these courts – and their associates – drag cases out for years, sometimes decades, ultimately resulting in a rash of social ills, including home foreclosure, bankruptcy, suicide and violence. Solutions to the crisis are sought out in countries where divorce is handled in a more holistic manner.

Wow! You can’t possibly consider marriage and children without watching this film first. It should be a prerequisite to walking down that aisle. It’s riveting, heartbreaking, and informative. Something has to be done about this.

What a shocking documentary. During my divorce, so many times I was stunned by the brutal process that I had to question if I was even in America. Then I began to believe the courts were personally punishing me. This documentary made so many things clear and confirmed some of my worse fears. My divorce is over now and I may never marry again, but my biggest fear is that my child may one day be caught up in what only can be described as "Hell on Earth". No one deserves to go through this process, not even my Ex-spouse. I recommend this movie to all and I applaud those who had the courage to make this film.

This documentary really shows just how messed up the family court system is. From judges that are paid off, to judges becoming lawyers and greasing the palms of psych evaluators, to the next day being back sitting on the bench- this really peels back the layers of corruption in the US and displays in all its horrors just how awful divorce truly is. Definitely a must see for any American or anyone wanting to get married or divorced in America. (It also shows the value of mediators- like the show Untying the Knot). The amount of bullying by judges and levels of disregard for the US Constitution is really looked at intensely in this brilliant and fresh narrative. This is one of those movies that will make your blood boil and make you hate judges, lawyers, and pretty much anyone that can hurt a family in such an awful way.

I don't understand how this doc. has all rotten tomatoes. This was amazingly accurate portrayal of our family court system. Like many other things in this world. Money causes corruption and the "you pat my back and I'll pat yours system." Anyway, sad that it might be. This doc. was amazing! I would watch it again in a heartbeat! Well worth it!

Divorce Corp is a "must see" for anyone getting a divorce (or getting married). This movie is an accurate depiction of the screwed up Family court system which is controlled by carnivorous attorneys and feminist activists who destroy families all across the country.

Awesome expose! This is a must see for anyone thinking of getting married. My only complaint is the statistic that 50% of all marriages end in divorce. Google this statistic and you'll find that the real study showed that 50% of all marriages end in divorce in the first 20 years. Wait, people can be married longer than 20 years. The reality is that over a married person's lifetime, they have an 83% chance that their marriage will end in divorce. Divorce is actually a far greater reality than people imagine.
  • Right to the point!

This documentary will exponentially expedite the changes in the Family Law System that are overdue. My personal thank you goes out to Joe and Andrew for a job well done!
  • Felt as if it was my divorce process that was made into a movie!

If I had watched this movie before my divorce started, I would have saved 1 million dollars of our children's money. The lawyers and other (un) professionals instill fear that I will loose the children and extract thousands of dollars from helpless parents. Fathers are highly prejudiced against in the family courts. Being black in the last century and being a father in family courts now probably feels the same! Discrimination. The judge kept saying to the lawyers, I don't want to take food out of your table, come back in 3 months, come back in another 3 months.....intentionally feeding these greedy lawyers.
