Discovery Atlas, Season 1

I bought the China discovered a couple years back in SD and have been waiting for the HD version to come out, and it finally did! Looks amazing! :D

I have so enjoyed the 4 shows in English showing in iTunes....but why are there not more of them. I see several of other countries in Spanish....what gives?

why aren't all the Discovery Atlas shows available in ENGLISH??? these are fine shows. i'd love to have access to the one on India---in ENGLISH.

I especially loved the part about how the martial arts are used to get a job in china

You won't learn more on Italy lengthy could be more instructive and let you discover more great place to go - not a close insight - not a great advising show

I purchased the Brazil episode, and this isn't so much a comment on the content of the show as the format that it is in. The video is widescreen, but it is hardcoded in a 4:3 aspect ratio letterbox. This means that if you are viewing it on a widescreen monitor or TV, the video is in the center of the screen, with huge black bars on all sides. You get black bars on the sides (pillarbox), since the computer thinks it is a 4:3 video. And there isn't a way to zoom the video with iTunes. This is really a pity, since it doesn't do justice to the content of this series. I will be looking elsewhere to purchase the rest of the episodes.

Discovery Atlas is the best documentary in any form of media to me. After watching both China revealed and Italy revealed, I knew more about both countries 2 hours before watching it. Seeming that they use personal life from the residents, the the individuals' lives, it immerses you into the country more than any other show, and given the show's length, it's actually able to go much more in depth than any other documentary. Must buy for people who love different cultures, it's entertaining too.

the dicovery atlas is really great but itunes should also add this show on discovery channel called the human body pushing the limits it is a really good show and please add it ty for reading

I know there are other seasons. I wish they would show up on ITunes
