The Premonition

This IS, by far, my favorite episode. It toys with the aspect of being "out of sync" in time and the possibilities of seeing the world as it catches up ever so slowly.
At its best it was one of the best

It's not as epic as the Twilight Zone or as iconic as Star Trek, but the best episodes of the Outer Limits are some of the best tv sci-fi ever. Yeah, the effects and costumes are sometimes really cheesy. Yeah, some of the stories feel padded. But what was great about it was how very atmospheric it was, how well it evoked "the awe and mystery" of the universe, which is what sci-fi is supposed to do (not just be a soap opera in space, like so many tv scifi series have been). Of this season Demon, Soldier, Robot, Expanding and Premonition are pretty classic.

This transfer is of good quality, picture is very sharp, sound quality is as good as could be expected considering the source.
This is among the top 5 Outer Limits episodes. far surpassing anything produced during the "new" version.
Robert Culp gives an outstanding performance (that should have received an Emmy)!
Harlan Ellison's story is worthy of a top notch movie, much less a weekly television series.
Famous diretor Byron Haskins provides a mood far surpassing the shows meager budget.
Arlene Martel also prvides superb back-up as the unintended participant.
What a pity programers no longer consider television worthy of this type of superb quality.
I always wonderd what ever happened to that marvelous computrer hand prop.
Too bad television programs can no longer begin to provide this quality. Imagine the possibilities!
complete my season

whenever im looking for something new to watch, i will buy one or two episodes. if i like it and want to buy the whole season,i end up having to purchase the episode again to get the season price instead of per episode price. why wont i-tunes do the same with tv shows that they do with albums. come on i-tunes COMPLETE MY SEASON and quit nickel and dimeing me. you get enough of my money.
ITunes brings us Season 2 of the original series.

Season 2 did not have same creative team producing the series, and it did change the format to more emphasis on science fiction. However, there are some gems here, beginning with Harlan Ellison's "Demon With A Glass Hand" which featured an incredible performance by Robert Culp and great direction by sci-fi master Byron Haskin. Other memorable episodes include the two part "The Inheritors" written by Seeleg Lester and starring Robert Duvall in a story that could be a prequel to the X-Files. Other episodes feature William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy and James Doohan in starring roles. It's a real treat to see these classic episodes again!
