Description

Follow Jake, Izzy, Cubby and their parrot Skully as they board their ship Bucky and sail from their hideout on Pirate Island for a treasure hunt adventure against Captain Hook and Smee. Be it a skateboard, a guitar or a prized seashell, Captain Hook will do anything to get his hands on the treasure, but Jake invites viewers to use teamwork, problem-solving and physical activity to reclaim their treasure, earning gold doubloons for the team treasure chest along the way.

    So this is how the monsters of history get portrayed? Monsters that cut hearts out live prisoners and chew and it, and then stuff it into the mouth of another, tie ropes around prisoner's heads and squeeze their head until get their eyes pop out, lick the blood of their cutlass after hacking a prisoner to pieces (all of those disgusting deeds where done by a pirate named Francois I'Olannais along with other disgusting deeds), portrayed as carefree, happy children and incompetent and silly fools? I know most Movies and TV shows make the stupid mistake, it is so annoying to see on how naive our society has become to romanticize such uncivilized savages into carefree heroes.

    My son is almost 4. He LOVES this show. He counts his gold dubloons (quarters), he puts them in his treasure chest (his piggy bank) and shouts "oh Coconuts." He gets so excited when he sees the show and sings all the songs. He even reminds me to be nice to everyone, including Captain Hook! I think it is a great new show!

    My 3-year-old son is obsessed with Jake and his puny pirates: he begs to watch the "funny one" (Off the Hook) every day! He sings along with the music, which I admit, is pretty catchy! He calls me "me hardy" and loves counting his "gold a blooms" and even wants to be Captain Hook next Halloween. It's all very cute and pretty harmless, but I think the show is boring and lame, other than the music. And I hate how mean Hook is to his first mate, Smead!
