Its refereshing that newer bands can still wrtie and play music this well, its like taking a trip back to the 70's when bands played well written songs, and played their intruments so well. Great CD!

I definitely like the new album better than the debut, excellent harmonies and catchy beats. No two songs are similar
  • Second album as good as the first...

...which rarely happens! Seriously though...been a fan of these guys since seeing them at Firefly. It amazes me how they are not on every radio station by now...great sound, great music. Spend $10 and buy this and their first....I swear you won't be disappointed....if you are I'm buying you a beer!

Pretty decent album, not as good as the first. For the love of God please don't let Joel King sing lead as much on the next one!! Ricky and Taylor fit the bands sound a lot better. In my humble opinion Joel's voice is killing your sound. Joel sounds like a Jonas brother
  • Great follow up album

This is a solid, consistent effort. Did not feel like skipping through any songs. Give it 3-4 listens before deciding. Work the price to get "Overnight and Help Me Out", the latter being my favorite song by them after "The Ceiling"

So they had been releasing consistently good songs prior the album release... Turns out they weren't holding on to many of the other great ones. Overnight was a really good song, as were Don't Ask Me to Change, Lonely is a Lifetime and even Goodbye Song a little bit. But when I got the full thing, Sleepers and Happy Again were the only impressive ones, Sleepers actually being my favorite on the album, but we'd already heard Happy Again because they've played it live. But as for the other 4 to 5 songs it feels more just like ambient noise, and it's hard to differentiate that the song has changed... They're the types of songs that are enjoyable to listen to casually but your don't just forget them after you listen to them, you forget them AS you listen to them. The standout tracks are better than anything from their self titled, but cohesively as a whole it doesn't necessarily work. It does in a fairness have more good songs than bad, and overall it's still a well done album. Overnight - 9/10 Sleepers - 10/10 Goodbye Song - 6.5/10 Don't Ask Me To Change - 10/10 Happy Again - 9/10 Help Me Out - 6/10 Lonely is a Lifetime - 10/10 On My Way - 5/10 Into The Sun - 5/10 Hallelujah - 7.5/10

This is considered rock and roll? This is kind of like watching golf. I don’t hate it, but I don’t really like it either. At least it’s not rap.

The "tweaking" that the editor's notes gushes about is exactly what is wrong with this album. There's a base that is awesome to this, but they tweak it and try too hard to add layers on top of it. Their stuff is better the more simple they keep it. Their first effort is much more honest and amazing.
