Lyrically, Illogic is one of the best emcees out there. Hands down. I almost forgot how good he is. I guess its been about 4-5 years since Celestial Clockworks and the Off the Clock EP came out. Unforeseen Shadows and Got Lyrics are bonafide classics. Every underground head should have copies of this. I actually gripped the CD's about a decade ago, but luckily Itunes is up on this cats discography. I like Write to Death 2 better then the first Write to Death. The first was much more spoken word, although Angelic Bombs is the truth. This is a soild album. My favorties are Yellow and Capsized. I almost forgot how good of a lyricist ILL is... Well worth the 9.99.

I first heard Illogic on Aesop Rock's track "One Brick", where he absolutley stole the show and gave one of the best raps I've heard in a long time. This album really showcases Illogic's absolute amazing ability to spit poetry out of his mouth better than 99.99% of the MCs out there. It's disappointing to know I live in a world where Li'l Wayne is being looked upon as one of the most prolific artists ever, when Illogic is sitting here in the underground, waiting to be noticed by people who crave talent. Well, there are some skippable tracks on here, but the highlights are "An Ocean", and "Liquid Meets Land". Just buy the album for yourself, and immerse yourself in modern day poetry

This is my Favorite Illogic album out. "Liquid Meets Land", "An Ocean," "They Wonder why I'm Insane" are my 3 favorite tracks. This guy is phenomenal. One of the most, if not the most, poetic people in Hip-hop. If you are into Underground/Indi/Artistic Hip-hop than you cannot pass on Illogic, it's a must own. I was one of the 100 lucky people to preorder this album off Hip Hop Site. Com, and I received one of the actual CD cases tagged with the album art...The cover art for this album was originally a large Graffiti tag over about 100 blank CD cases, so if you ordered one of the limited edition CD's it came in one of the tagged CD cases and I have one, it's framed and hanging on a wall near my tables I love it so much. I personally thought that it was one of the best album promotions of all time, and thought I would share that in my review of this Great album.

I got this album the other day, and every song on it is amazing. The beats take you to a trance where his lyrics explain the meaning of life. I'm surprised more people haven't reviewed this CD with 5 stars yet, download it and you will!

Not since Rakim and Aesop Rock has one man had such a poetic mastery of the English language. His lyrics are profound, reflective, and understandable. Illogic's delivery? Flawless. A must have for hip-hop heads.
