First saw him on Kimmel one night. Started checking out his library. He’s got some great songs. “The Walk”my fave here! Tuxedo II is awesome too! He’s got his own style. Great mix of blue eyed and R&B.
Great artists with ears

Yes, his ears are great for finding the right tune and beats. Great talent for song writing and his use of older Motown type music is spectacular.
What are those!!!!!????????

Sorry I just don’t see this album as r and b or hip hop. Honestly speaking it sounds like recycled lyrics stolen from true artists.
Wasn’t it labeled Blue eyed?
Why not make it its own category and shove it in there along with the other really bad renditions of true hip hop and r and b instead. Blue eyed soul? What the heck is that anyway? Soul music is soul music so stop trying to rip it off.
I give this music two thumbs down 👎

This record saw Mayer really coming into his own. Developing the groundwork laid by A Strange Arrangement into great hooks, catchy tunes and really shining with blue-eyed soul. One of my favorite records!
