Garbage, just pure garbage. The worst part is folks on TikTok are giving this artist more play & a 2nd chance. The trash heap song, β€œVenom” makes you wanna turn on MC Hammer. Just to hear lyrics in tune or lyrics that make sense. Don’t waste your money & stop being a follower.

Bro, I didn’t know what I was listening to when I first heard this, but I knew that my ears loved it. I suggest Venom especially.

Beats are on point. Lyrics and melodies and rhythm and everything are just so good and refreshing. Best $10 spent in a long time. ✌🏼😎

One of the most alluring qualities of Little Simz is her willingness to express vulnerability. Her honesty has always been compelling. She makes it very easy to relate to her and/or her life experiences. Now add to that her easy-flowing style. None of her verses sound forced. Her tempo and cadence is on point. And myself being from the States, her British accent adds a dimension of grace that those from the UK bring to the English language. Her beats and production are catchy and invigorating. All four of the tracks that she released before the album went public are amazing. "Offence" and "Boss" are in-your-face pieces that cause you to max the volume on your stereo system or headphones. These are perfect selections for your 'Powersong' when needing that extra boost while on a run or workout. "101 FM" is quite unique as it combines an Asian-sounding beat to a somewhat hurried stop-and-start style of rapping that works as a perfect combination. "Selfish" is a loungy, head-bobbing track reminiscient of a style that is often incorporated by The Internet. (Little Simz previously had Syd appear as a featured artist on "Shotgun" on her last album, Stillness In Wonderland.) Cleo Sol gets the credit as the featured artist on "Selfish" and her sultry hook completes the smooth lines that Simz lays down for us. While I am still absorbing the remaining just-released tracks on GREY Area, "Flowers" is an early favorite. It has an elevating angelic groove. At the same time, the horns bring it back down to Earth and provide a wonderful urban aspect that only Jazz instruments can bring. Along with this element, Little Simz delivers her lines in a pace that faintly brought me back memories of the late Guru during his Jazzmatazz days. And featured artist Michael Kiwanuka is, well, Michael Kiwanuka. His vocals turn this song into instant gold. Little Simz continues to present works that get stuck in your head and make it extremely difficult to escape out of her section of your music library. She is highly, highly talented.
