    Here's what is said about him by Delmark recordings in Chicago that did his new album: Jose was recently nominated for a Blues Music Award 2021 for his debut album Here I Come, produced by Funderburgh and in 2020, The Jose Ramirez Band won second place at The Blues Foundation International Blues Challenge in Memphis. This man-from Cuba-is definitely a blues riser to follow. Some wonderful soul bluesey vocals, plus tasty and prominent organ on these well-crafted songs. I'm sure this fellow's name will be seen a lot in the future and hopefully he can be on the festival circuit. 2nd place at the IBC means A LOT. Sample and buy into these sonngs.
