Is to reach a broader audience while still staying true to the identity of who your b(r)and is.. Would you not want that if you had a national touring band of your own? Face it: Atreyu wasn’t going to gain a larger audience with their previous sound. It wasn’t commercial enough and it wasn’t that good, quite honestly.. I like a few previous songs but, by and large, they were pretty average with a forgettable sound previous to the last couple of releases. All you millennial emo kids are now feeling what those of us before you felt with nü Metal and grunge becoming what they did for some bands that “sold out”.. just the way it works..

There isnt much more to say. The dug their own grave when breaking ways with Alex. He has a new project called Dead Icarus. Keep an eye out because it will be much better than this.

Atreyu is back with an EP that sounds more like the Atreyu we know. Their last album Baptize was horribly bland and those classic Atreyu choruses were just about nowhere to be found. This time Brandon is back with a vengeance, bringing back those big soaring choruses. Marc has also stepped up his vocals on these new tracks and has cemented himself into his new vocal role quite well. Is Atreyu back?……time will tell, but this one is definitely a massive step in the right direction.

This new Atreyu sounds like all of the other butt rock that is out right now. They went straight downhill when Alex left. Not knocking Brandon’s vocals by any means, but they were way better with Alex on lead.
