I don't believe that 10 years ago, Janet Devlin could have imagined herself arriving at this triumphant moment, but this song puts Devlin in a genre that suit her, her vocal abilities, and musical arrangement skills. It lands in a groove that few achieve on first out-of-the-gate new genre attempt.
I can only hope that Irish singer Janet Devlin, now brings all her talent and life history to a new country album that is a mix of original songs, and country covers that are re-arranged by Devlin in her impeccable and unique style. A style that not only make the cover song her own, but also allows the classic version to remain on the pedestal that it earned and deserved.
This is a fantastic song by Devlin and her crew. It will be on repeat for a while.
