Reviews

  • Possibly the best pipe band album ever

This recording has it all...a piobaireachd played by the entire band, amazing solos, drummer's salute, and the mighty Mason's Apron Medley. At one point the band also plays rope tension drums with the pipes to great effect. Maybe it's a cliché, but if you could buy one pipe band CD, this would be a great candidate. Completely enjoyable. Slán!
  • The quintessential recording of the 78th Fraser Highlanders

Folks, it just doesn't get any better than this. This recording is the 78th Fraser Highlanders at their best playing before a Celtic audience who understands and appreciates great piping. I know many people hear any piper, or pipe band, and think to themselves that it's all the same. Listen to this to hear real pipe band music and professional pipers who can make the instrument sing. When asked what first piping CD someone should buy, this is always my first choice to give them; and many of the pipers I know would agree with me!
