If the singer truly knew the story about the man he sings about then instead of mocking from a safe distance without even the smallest amount of truth as to what was happening to him, he would instead flock to the man's aid offer him whatever support he could and fight against the people who were doing this to him. Sadly the object of his ridicule believes that he's just interested in what favors and money those people can pour his way and he's all too happy to ignore reality while he's sucking on the teet.
