Reviews

  • An album that gets worse each passing year

As time moves on, Skeleton Psalms just gets badder and badder. At first it was okay, but now it's one of the worst albums they've ever done besides Attack. It's so cornily preachy and the sound is weak and out of touch with their contemporaries who have adopted a more metalcore approach (f.e., Seventh Day Slumber and Project 86) and creatively resurged. The 4 new songs aren't any better than the regular album, they're pretty bad (the Decyfer Down feature version of "Resurrecting Reasons" is pretty cool though). I don't hold much hope for the next album, and I have been a longtime fan. Not for long if they keep this cheesy path up.
