I suspect the motive here was much like George Lucas fixing and tweaking his original Star Wars film. Fogerty was no doubt motivated to correct many of the nitpicks he may have had with the original versions and do his own versions and leaving behind what he felt was the best possible rendition of any of these tracks and of course, the vibe of having his own family play on the album, only elevates it to a sense of completeness. I own the original versions, and I enjoy these as well, but I did buy this because I wanted to reward him for doing such a great job. Unlike Paul McCartney, he still has a voice!

These songs sound so great! And polished ! John sang them true like the originals. It’s a total face lift ! A must for the ccr collection but really this is John Fogerty giving you his songs again! I think it’s fantastic! Mastering Is Top Notch ! Along With The New Recordings !

John’s new version sounds great, but let’s face it - it’s more of the same. Why not new music?

Ok so these songs are his old songs redone. They are spot on and nothing new here. To give John credit at 80 years old, he sounds great. And vocally some songs are pretty high. I’ve been a fan since the CCR days, so i buy everything John puts out. Technically the mix is very good and instrumentally perfect. John is s national treasure

I of course own the originals but the vocals and instrumental parts sound fabulous. Something I can put on and really enjoy each and every song. Seen him many times live over the years and always went home singing and smiling.

I love John Fogerty and all the Creedence songs. He is celebrating getting his songs back so he can do what he wants with them. But you can’t replace the original versions

CCR is a little before my time I was born in the early 80s but my mom listened to CCR so I grew up loving all these tracks. I’m buying this for the great songs of course…. But also to support John for sounding so great still.

With his family John Fogerty sounds as good as ever, the music is as fresh as it has ever been, Happy Birthday John, Congrats!
