    Not sure what the point of this album/2 disc compilation type thing is. But NMAS are an awesome band, and if you likey too and for some funky reason just don't have the first two albums, might as well save a few bucks and buy them together. Both albums are great, but quite funny that for the album cover Dwayne Burnside is in the picture, since he wasn't in the band for these two albums.

    This is a great collection of music. It has the Allstars best two albums and it is a great starter pack for NMA newbies. 51 phantom has a great vibe it starts out with some great blues rockers then it slips into a gospel/soul vibe. The highlights of 51 Phantom are "51 Phantom", "Lord Have Mercy", "Circle in the Sky" and my all time favorite "Leavin'". This album is great but the best of the two is the Allstars first release Shake Hands With Shorty. "Shake 'Em On Down" kicks it of and it never lets up. This is some mighty fine blues rock. You can not beat this colllection and i highly recommend The Early Years to any blues or rock fan.

    This has the Shake Hands with Shorty & Phantom stuff. Not sure why Shorty isn't sold by itself (great stuff), but well worht the money.
