    Mastering the positions and tone on a bass is very difficult and Edgar Meyer did it again on this album. I could not be more pleased with the musicianship that he showed when he made this album. His performance is awe inspiring to musicians of all kinds.

    This is a great recording. The sound quality is great and Edgar Meyer's tempo is spot on. I hope he writes his own unaccompanied suite so we can get best of both Edgar Meyer the Bassist and Edgar Meyer the composer.

    Its incredible to hear the Suites played on a double bass (and the skill it would require to play them so well), however it does sound a lot more enjoyable on the cello.

    INCREDIBLE playing from one of the double bass' few, true virtuoso performers. Meyer is nearly technically flawless in his fingering while also managing to be movingly expressive in his bowing on the most difficult string instrument to master. A must for any music aficianado's collection!
