Nakia is an incredibly talented artist. The lyrics are heartfelt and full of emotion. If you ever have a chance to see the band live, you will not be disappointed. Nakia puts on an unforgetable performance!

I have been a fan of Nakia’s for years, ever since I first heard his rocking, Chicago themed “Weather Man.”  I thought he couldn’t get any better, but I was wrong! His vocals have matured, more bluesy and soulful. His lyrics are poignant and heartfelt and sung with an intense grin. “That’s the Way God Planned It” is surprisingly like a warm, Sunday morning prayer session -- spiritual and nostalgic, it really lifts your spirits. I hate to compare him to an American Idol (but I will anyway), if you like Taylor Hicks, you will LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, Nakia!

Having seen Nakia live over the years, I was really looking forward to this set. Playing the Cards just kicked it up a notch. This album will be one of my favorites for a long time to come.

Nakia is an amazing artist based in Austin, TX. He's absolutely amazing. I keep thinking along the lines of John Mellencamp. I love him..
