She belongs to the greatest of all times. Blood stalls in veins. Absolute master. I ve heard her play this live in New York, just can not get over it.
  • This is a violinist to look out for.

This is a great player playing great works. The Lindberg is a masterpiece and I hope that this recording will help keep it on the concert stage for years to come.

I purchased this recording based on the Jan 21, 2008 New Yorker listing as one of the best of 2007 classical recordings and the iTunes review by Classical Monster. I love Sibelius and only hope I find the time to listen to this recording as many times as CM did.

I do not use the word masterpiece lightly-but upon hearing the M.Lindberg violin concerto, which I have now listened to over eight times(it gets better and better) I have little doubt that this may be the finest violin concerto written in the last thirty years. Lindberg is a master of sound and texture(usually loud) but with this concerto he has moved onto a new plane, a growth toward combining melody(tunefulness) with that wondrous sonority. I couldnt recommend this more. I only bought the Lindberg so I cant tell you how the Sibelious is, but the violinist does some pretty extraordinary things during the Lindberg so I am sure she can dominate the Sibelius.
