This work is certain to be a regular part of our family's celebration during the Christmas season. Having seen this work on PBS and now listening to it at home, I could not be more enthusiastic about sharing the quality of Andrew T. Miller's Christmas Cantata with others. "One Blessed Night" is a powerful conclusion to this refreshing telling of the Christmas story.
  • Amazing! A Christmas work that remembers the true meaning of Christmas!

Andrew T. Miller has an amazing talent that he has chosen to share with the world. Thank you, God! The Birth of Christ is beautiful and moving. I can't imagine how anyone could listen to the performances in this work and not get swept away by the story of the Christ child's birth. With an amazing choir, phenomenal soloists, and then Liam Neeson offering the narration, the Birth of Christ is destined to become a modern classic! You will not be disappointed with this purchase.

No, it's not the Messiah! But it's a respectable work that has real impact. I feel the individual performances go a long way in selling this work. In particular Amy Bils’ singing of Mary’s Canticle and Robert McPherson’s unique but moving vocals throughout (especially in The Annunciation of John). Maybe it’s not destined to be a modern classic, but it’s better than a lot of what we get sold this time of year.
  • Marvelous in deed

A much needed musical delight for this season - Mr. Miller did a great job in combining jewish music history with contemporary christianty. He accomplished this while remaining faithful to scripture in consultation with catholics and protestants. His work was presented on PBS and EWTN

This is how the newspaper article billed it. I did not find it so. There is some very good music here, and some I have not decided about. Time will tell.
