Jackie, Jackie, Jackie... along with Red Holloway, Jeff Hamilton, Tamir Hendlman, Larry Koonse and Carol Robbins you have a wonderful set of music here... DownBeat's Andrew Gilbert said, "EXTRAGANTLY GIFTED!... Astonishing range - both and emotionally stylistic. A true jazz original." I think that says it all. If you like Sultry Jazz Divas & traditional jazz / this one ....Would be Nice To Come Home To / The Very Thought Of 'it / makes Something Happen' To Me / Let There Be Love / and I Know that You Know / The Best is Yet to Come / to You The Night & The Music / under the Moonlight / You Are There / & I Just Found Out About Love / so Never Let Me Go / Let There Be Love / Besame' Mucho / that's just the way it is While We're Young. How's that for pulling Jackie, Jackie, Jackie together? Enjoy....

Jackie's got a wonderful presence, an impressive range, and a deep, elegant, soulful voice. The album's so smooth that if you just had it in the background, you might miss its quiet sophistication. Her laid-back, somewhat ponderous interpretive style and lovely, restrained phrasing inject new breath into the well-known standards that she performs. All musicians on this great collection are top notch.
