Josh Ritter never ceases to amaze me. I love him and all his songs which are full of poetic elegance. I thought his previous albums were breathtaking. This brought the breath back into my life. I have much respect for Josh Ritter and can't wait to see him in concert!!!

I have played this album when people are at my house. A week or a month later "Snow is Gone" will come on and the same person will ask "Who is this? I love this song." This has happend a few times. I am so happy that I discovered Josh Ritter. I love all of his music and Hello Starling is a great place to start!

Just buy one or two tracks and you’ll buy the rest. I’d recommend any of the odd numbered songs or the even number songs. Simply wonderful. Josh Ritter is a writer of love ballads for the ages. And the performance matches. Intimate, sincere, spare. Check “Bone of Song.” It’s all good.
