I like Katie's songs, but I'm not sure that I like this one.
Those who say that she is horrible obviously haven't heard her other music. If you are posting a comment to dis her, look up her other music. She is actually very talented.
OMG BADDDDD

katie melua has such a good voice! better than alot of the most popular pop rock stars out there. definitely buy it!
and "i love this music", do us all a favor and lock yourself in a closet and never come out. GO AWAY!!!! reviews are meant to be real and sincere, not about self promotion or copy-pasting.

But her last CD, Pictures, is not as good. I'm still giving her 5 stars, her voice deserves it.
Just Fine

I've heard Katie better, but anybody who's able to sound this good live must be pretty darn talented!

Love everything Katie does. This album shows the real Katie Melua without the studio polish. Just amazing.
Doesn't get any better than this

This is the first Katie Melua music I have listened to and it is absolutely fantastic. What a talent.
Katie is usually fantastic - but here not so much

I am a huge fan of Katie's music, and bought this right away, but after a couple of listens I am disappointed. Perhaps not surprisingly it focuses more on her most recent album Pictures (which is still not available on iTunes in the US), and this is too bad because she picks some of the weakest songs from her weakest album. I would have loved to hear Dirty Dice, but instead we get Spell Bound... Instead of What I Miss About You we get Scary Films... I also wish we could have had I Cried For You or Piece By Piece, both from her second album...
Also, while Katie has a beautiful voice her recent singing has used a "wobbly" singing voice (both on record and live), and she has started to yell/scream some lyrics live, so The Mockingbird Song is no longer a sweet seduction, it's more a shouting piece.
That said, I would love for the rest of Katie's catalogue to be available in the US store as it is elsewhere.
